I am Delcy, a painter working primarily in oil and acrylic.
After many years working as a school psychologist, I recently retired from my full-time position while maintaining my professional licensure. As a school psychologist, I worked in the space between data and story. As a painter, I continue to bring stories to canvas.
I began painting seriously in 2019, after an unexpected period of illness gave me the opportunity to explore a creative interest that had been waiting in the background. What began as something new to try gradually became an important and rewarding part of my life.
My paintings range from representational work to more abstract explorations of color, movement, nature, and emotion.
