Be prepared to make the most of what you have

This was my first floral painting. Well, technically, it was my second. I don’t count the first one, hanging on my wall at home, because it was an, uh, “creative experiment.”

Anyway, this was a fun beauty to do. I did experience some frustration because at the time, I did not have floral brushes, let alone soft paint. Who knew there are floral brushes? Soft paint? Isn’t paint just “paint?” No siree! Thinning the paint helped with this one, and I really love the vintage green background color. The peach/orange flowers just really pop against the green background.

Fun Fact: I actually repurposed one of my make-up brushes to do the white puffs on the branch. So, yep, use what you’ve got to express your creativity!
